In Mizoram, the people are celebrating the 34th anniversary of the signing of the historic Mizo peace accord today. The peace accord was signed between the Union government and the erstwhile underground Mizo National Front (MNF) on 30th June in 1986.
The state government has declared a public holiday for the celebration of this historic day. All government offices and educational institutions will remain closed today.
