Centric Software® is pleased to announce that Zhejiang Mizuda Textile Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd (Mizuda) has selected Centric PLM™ to build a customer-centric innovation framework. Centric Software delivers innovative, integrated, end-to-end AI-powered enterprise solutions to take products from concept to commercialization. Fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics & personal care as well as multi-category retail teams can plan, design, develop, source, comply, buy, make, price, allocate, assort, sell and replenish products to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Over more than 30 years, Mizuda has grown into a benchmark enterprise in China’s textile printing and dyeing industry, defined by deep manufacturing expertise, proprietary technology and an uncompromising focus on quality. The company operates out of Huzhou, Zhejiang, integrating R&D, large-scale production and global sales behind a fabric portfolio of corduroy, khaki, linen, multi-fiber, printed, dyed and functional materials. Annual stable output reaches 100 million meters, serving apparel brands and customers in more than 60 countries.
Mizuda’s intelligent manufacturing journey had reached a point where R&D became a critical bottleneck, unable to keep pace with speed, consistency and customer-led innovation. Product knowledge, process data and customer requirements were growing in volume and complexity, but key information remained scattered, limiting visibility and slowing confident decision-making. While prior operational upgrades delivered gains elsewhere, R&D remained a long-standing gap with siloed systems and fragmented workflows—requiring a unified source of truth to streamline ideas, specifications, execution and quality across the product lifecycle.
Mizuda identified the need for a PLM platform that could support a broader transformation in how innovation is organized and executed. Beyond digitizing information, the company sought to strengthen the connection between customer demand, product development and manufacturing execution. The Goal was to create a more customer-centric approach to R&D.
“The data fragmentation we experienced made it clear that R&D transformation requires far more than a ready-made solution,” shares Long Fangsheng, General Manager of Mizuda. “We required a partner who participates deeply in business process transformation spanning the system lifecycle.”
The company’s evaluation moved beyond system functionality alone as the team looked for a solution capable of bringing structure to textile R&D without imposing a generic model, while preserving technical know-how, enabling continuous process improvement and supporting long-term business growth.
“Centric PLM’s industry expertise, functional depth and technical capabilities precisely match Mizuda’s strategic requirements. This alignment is why we chose Centric Software as our partner for this project,” explains Long.
The PLM rollout centers on building a customer-centric digital R&D system that connects product development workflows, strengthens cross-functional collaboration and brings greater traceability to the journey between market insight and production execution. Mizuda will leverage Centric PLM to standardize go-to-market preparation, build reusable customer-dimension product data assets and establish a more iterative product lifecycle.
“Mizuda is committed to a long-term vision of aligning quality standards,” adds Long. “With Centric PLM, we aim to create a unified digital thread that links product innovation, multi-level production planning and continuous lifecycle improvement.”
“This project will link trend research, design, manufacturing and service in one integrated data chain,” Long continues. “It will inject strong momentum into Mizuda’s high-quality development and support our next stage of digital and intelligent transformation.”
The implementation launch marks a pivotal step in Mizuda’s innovation journey and a starting point for its evolution from enterprise intelligence toward ecosystem intelligence. Mizuda and Centric Software project teams have aligned on implementation planning, key milestones and risk management, establishing clear phased objectives and ownership to support system development, testing and deployment.
“Mizuda brings the professionalism, dedication and innovation mindset needed to turn digital transformation into measurable business value,” says Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software. “We are proud to partner with a forward-thinking manufacturer at the forefront of intelligent transformation in China’s printing and dyeing industry and look forward to supporting a successful Centric PLM implementation.”
