National Corporate Conference of Indian Association of Physiotherapists at Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram:  The second National Corporate Conference of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) will be held on  15th and 16th of October at the Travancore International Convention Centre, in Karyavattom Greenfield Stadium. Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala will inaugurate the conference on the 15th.

Scientific sessions, paper presentations, panel discussions and cultural programs have also been organized in connection with the National Conference. More than a thousand physiotherapists from different parts of the country, including national officials, will be a part of the conference.

Physiotherapists will henceforth be included in the health care category with independent practicing status due to the formation of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare professionals council.

Officials of the association said that the state government has started the process by issuing a notification for the formation of the state council. Once the law comes into force, council registration will be mandatory for those looking to work as physiotherapists. The conference will conclude on 16th at 4 pm.
