National Food Laboratory Confirms Lotte Choco Pie Sample Meets Applicable Food Safety Standards
National : Lotte India is pleased to announce that laboratory test results from the National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad (“Ghaziabad Lab”), have confirmed that Lotte Choco Pie meets the applicable food safety and standards requirements and is safe for consumption. The Ghaziabad Lab, a referral food laboratory recognized by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), tested a sample from the same batch that had allegedly failed earlier. The findings of the National Food Laboratory reassures Lotte India’s commitment to complying with Indian food safety regulations and upholding the trust of its consumers and trade partners.
Firmly committed to upholding stringent quality standards, Lotte India exercised its statutory right to have the sample independently analyzed by a referral food laboratory. Accordingly, a sample from the same batch, Batch No. NM10DC2, manufactured on April 10, 2026, was referred by the FDA, Durg, Chhattisgarh, to the National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad, for independent analysis. The laboratory conducted the tests and confirmed that Lotte Choco Pie conforms to all applicable food safety and standards requirements.

Lotte India would like to clarify and reiterate that Lotte Choco Pie as a product had not been banned or declared unsafe.
