Haflong (Assam): In a historic record of the Autonomous Council of Dima Hasao since 1952, a supplementary grant was passed today by the house for pension of former members, EMs and CEMs of Autonomous council. Demand was placed amounting to Rs. 19, 50,000 for the former members and Rs. 5,00,000 CEMs and Ems of the council required in course of payment for the year ending 31st March 2020-21’.
The Council session was conducted today starting from 11 A.M maintaining social distancing norms for preventing the spread of COVID-19 at the District Library Auditorium, Haflong. Number of questions were tabled which were satisfactorily replied by the Chief Executive Member, Debolal Gorlosa and also the concerned Executive Members.
When asked about the progress regarding Gunjung- Maibang road questioned by Haflong MAC Daniel Langthasa, CEM Debolal Gorlosa said that the work order has already been completed and the construction work is to begin with an additional amount from MLA scheme.
Garampani MAC Joysing Durong also questioned various issues pertaining to Umrangso and Garampani area regarding land, water crisis issues and road which were satisfactorily replied by the CEM and the concerned Executive Members.
With the end of the session the chairperson Ranu Langthasa adjourned the house sine die.
