Mangaldai, : Raj Mohan Ray, Commandant of 1st Assam Police Task Force (APTF) at Dakurbhitha in Goalpara district and an officer of Assam Police Service 2002 batch has taken charge as the 26th Superintendent of Police of Darrang district. Outgoing Superintendent of Police , Sushanta Biswa Sarma handed over the charge to Raj Mohan Ray here at the office of the Superintendent of Police on April12.. Sushanta Biswa Sarma who had served the district as the Superintendent of Police for less than a year proved his sincerity and courage in several public issues including freeing a large area of government land from the well organized encroachers to pave the way for the Gorukhuti multipurpose agricultural and Dhalpur Shiv temple tourism project.. He will now join as the Superintendent of Police, Sonitpur .
