No untoward incident took place in J&K following abrogation of Art 370 & 35A: HM Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah today said that no untoward incident took place in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A and peace is prevailing in the State.

Speaking at the 46th National Management Convention in New Delhi, the Home Minister said that the Narendra Modi led government has never taken decisions thinking about what people will like but took decisions that are in the interest of the people.

He said such decisions are the basis of bringing change in the country. Mr Shah said, the per capita national income of has gone up from Rs. 80 thousand to Rs. 1.26 lakh.

Hitting out at the previous UPA government, Mr Shah alleged that in 2013 there were multiple cases of corruption and the government was not able to take decisions for the growth of the country.

Mr Shah said that earlier when the government ran for 30 years, it used to take five big decisions, but now this government which lasted for five years, has worked to change the country by taking more than 50 big decisions.

Targeting at previous UPA government Shah said that earlier we had no defence policy but airstrike and surgical strike has presented a new picture of our defence policy and whole world is appreciating it.
