Mumbai : Food influencer and Nutriiya founder Avanish Agarwal has sparked a nationwide debate after posting a viral reel questioning the ingredient composition of Dabur fruit juice products.

In the video, Avanish highlighted details mentioned on the packaging itself, stating that the product contains only 21% fruit, while the remaining composition includes water, sugar, preservatives, and additives. The reel quickly went viral, collectively crossing nearly 2 million views and triggering conversations around food transparency, misleading marketing, and consumer health.

The controversy escalated after Dabur reportedly sent a legal notice to Avanish over the content. In response, Avanish released another reel publicly replying to the notice and reportedly giving Dabur 24 hours while standing by the information shared in his videos, claiming that all observations were based on the product’s own packaging details.

The issue has gained widespread support online, with celebrities like Farah Khan, Vishal Dadlani, and food awareness creator Foodpharmer backing Avanish and amplifying the larger conversation around packaged food awareness in India.

Avanish’s legal team, led by Abhishek Shivpuri of SLC Law Chambers, formally responded to Dabur’s notice on 14 May 2026, calling upon Dabur to withdraw its allegations within 24 hours.

The incident has now become one of the biggest talking points in the food and health industry, reigniting concerns around how “healthy” packaged products are marketed to consumers.
