Mangaldai :Sajjad Hussain , a dedicated and energetic Junior Assistant in the office of the Superintendent of Police, Darrang, a former Assistant General Secretary of the students’ union of Mangaldai Govt HS School and the President of the Alumni of 1992 Matric batch of the school is no more. After bravely fighting a long battle with some critical ailments this promising popular youth has passed away at Kolkata based hospital on Monday afternoon at the 
young age of 43 years.. Born to the family of Sher Ali Hazarika of Ward Number 2 of Mangaldai Town on November 11 of 1975, late Sajjad initially joined the office of the Superintendent of Police of Karbi Anglong district in 2009 as a Junior Assistant. Within this short period of ten years in service he was chosen to serve in the office of the Superintendent of Police in Golaghat, Tinisukia and Darrang district.
For his outstanding service with devotion and sincerity he was awarded the Commendation of the Director General of Police for his professional outstanding competence. The DIG of Eastern Range, Superintendent of Police of Golaghat, Darrang, Tinisukia and Sonitpur also awarded him Commendation letter for his service with excellence. He has survived by his mother, wife and the only minor son. The untimely death of this popular , promising youth has cast a pall of gloom in the entire Mangaldai town . Several local public organizations and individuals including Alumni of Mangaldai HS 1992 matric batch, Mangaldai Media Circle , Crystal Vision , Employees union of Darrang Superintendent of Police office , Superintendent of Police of Darrang Amrit Bhuyan,Superintendent of Police of Dima Hasao Sreejith Thiraviam have deeply mourned the untimely death of this highly promising youth and dedicated government servant and offered their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members.
