The 24th Bwisagu festival was celebrated at Patakata village in Kokrajhar district with a two days colourful programme.
The Rongjali Bwisagu celebration held under the aegis of the observance committee of Patakata Bwisagu Afad on 6th and 7th May 2023 at Patakata Geolang Fwthar. Various competitions, including sports, literary competition and cultural program were held among the children during the two days Bwisagu celebrations. On the first day, President of Patakata Rongjali Bwisagu Afad Doneswar Brahma hoisted the flag. A yogahuti was also performed for the well-being and peace of the villagers on the second day followed by a village fest. ;
Later, an open session was held which was inaugurated by ex-Principal of Kokrajhar Girls’ College Dr Rupam Brahma. BTR executive member Ukil Muchahary, former judicial magistrate Prasanta Brahma, ex-Headmistress of Gossaigaon Girls High School, senior Journalist Preetam Brahma Choudhury attended the event as guest.
