PM Modi arrives in Houston in first leg of his week long visit to USA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Houston in the first leg of his week long visit to the USA. He was received at the Bush International Airport by Director, Trade and International Affairs, Christopher Olson and other officials. US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster and Indian Ambassador to the US Harsh Vardhan Shringla were also present.

In his first engagement, Prime Minister Modi is interacting with Captains of Industry from the  energy sector in the US. He will be meeting Indian community delegations as well. As he interacts with top US CEOs, the focus will be on investment in India, technical collaboration and partnership. With oil supplies from Iran coming to a halt, reduction in Saudi output and Brent crude on a rise  India is  looking for other options. The CEOs meet at the US energy capital in Houston is expected to yield  positive outcome.
