PM Modi to begin two-day Uttar Pradesh visit today; to launch ₹6,350 crore projects in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh beginning today.

During the first leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will arrive in Varanasi, where he will participate in a Mahila Sammelan in the evening and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth around ₹6,350 crore. These projects cover key sectors including railways, roads, water supply, healthcare, tourism, and urban infrastructure.

The Prime Minister will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains and lay the foundation stone for the Varanasi–Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction third and fourth railway line project, which includes the construction of a rail-cum-road bridge over the Ganga River.

Tomorrow, PM Modi will perform darshan and pooja at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

During the second leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will travel to Hardoi the same day and inaugurate the Ganga Expressway. It is a 594-kilometre-long, six-lane, access-controlled greenfield high-speed corridor, built at a total cost of over ₹36,000 crore.
