New Delhi: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will visit Assam today to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development projects in the State. He will also attend the mega Bihu celebration in Guwahati where over 11,000 dancers will participate.
AIR correspondent reports that Prime Minister will inaugurate the AIIMS at Changsari in Guwahati and will also dedicate virtually three more medical colleges at Nalbari, Kokrajhar and Nagaon districts to the nation. PM Modi will then virtually lay the foundation stone of Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute at IIT-Guwahati and will ceremonially launch the Ayushman Bharat PM Jana Arogya cards in a symbolic manner. After that the Prime Minister will attend the closing ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of the Gauhati High Court at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.
Prime Minister Modi will also attend the mega Bihu celebration at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati in the afternoon where over 11,000 dancers will participate. The PM will lay the foundation stone of a bridge on Brahmaputra river connecting Palasbari and Sualkuchi near Guwahati and beautification project for Rang Ghar at Sivasagar. He will also virtually commission the Assam PetroChemical Limited’s Methanol at Namrup besides inauguration of several Railway projects.
