Polling for 9th and last phase of Panchayat elections begins at 452 Polling stations in Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, polling for 9th and last phase of Panchayat elections has begun at 452 Polling stations in Kashmir division. It will conclude at 2 pm in the afternoon. In this phase, 68 Sarpanches and 433 Panches have been elected unopposed and polling will take place for 55 Sarpanch and 138 Panch seats with 430 candidates in the fray.

In the 9th phase, an electorate of 68,745 will be voting for Sarpanch halqas and 20,668 for Panch constituencies. In this phase, 15 blocks from 9 districts of Kashmir divisions are going to polls. A total of 346 polling stations have been categorised as Hypersensitive.
