Hyderabad: To commemorate the Republic day, Prabuddha Bharat International organised “Utsav”, an annual event started in 2012. The half day event is also to bring together the families and friends of the loyal members of Prabuddha Bharat International. It is a movement initiated by Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to establish an enlightened India.
Prabuddha Bharat International (PBI) is a partner organisation of DICCI (Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). Dr Varaprasad Reddy, Managing Director, Shanta Biotech is been invited as Chief Guest. Special Guest of Honours – Pradeep Chandra Former Chief Secretary to Govt. of Telangana; Gandam Chandrudu IAS, Anantapur District Collector; BS Ramulu, Former Chairman to BC Commision; Vimalakka, Socail Activist. As a part of “Utsav”, a presentation on the activities, objectives and vision of PBI was made along with the vision of DICCI. The senior members of DICCI like Dr. Milind Kamble, Padma Shri Awardee (Founder of DICCI) and Ravi Kumar Narra, Padma Shri Awardee (National President of DICCI and founder of PBI) were felicitated. The event also focussed on importance of the Constitution written by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and participating members took the Preamble pledge. Cultural activities were also organised that kept the audience enthralled.
Ambedkar ideology is the soul of Prabuddha Bharat International ie., an enlightened India. It is the foremost mission of all progressive Indians. We know that India as a nation suffered serious injuries of illiteracy and orthodoxy, regressive caste system, untouchability gender discrimination. PBI pursues the vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar that the down-trodden community achieves the strength of knowledge, the foundation of economic and political power and with the three strength marks in history a social progress with self-reliance and self-respect. Some of the initiatives of PBI are organising lectures, Run for Caste free India on every Babasaheb’s birth anniversary, daily floral tributes to the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar near Tank Bund and of course organising this “Utsav” every year.

While Dr. Kamble is currently the Chairman, the organization has grown with the help of 30 state chapters & 7 International Chapters. Its membership base is rapidly expanding as more Dalit entrepreneurs become aware of its activities and what it can offer them.
