Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna completed one year in Assam

The ambitious Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna, PMJAY has completed one year of it’s existence in Assam and the state has recently started the third phase of the scheme. So far, two phases of the scheme saw claims of close to 47 crore rupees in the north eastern state.

The third phase of PMJAY covers over 26 lakh families as beneficiaries. The state also has increased the empaneled hospitals from 179 to well over 300 under the phase 3 of the scheme.

As on date the scheme has benefitted more than 75000 beneficiaries in the state. An MoU was also signed with HLL Life care limited in November 2018 to provide medicines and consumables to the  beneficiaries free of cost.
