As part of the Bodoland Goat Mission initiative of the Government of BTR, altogether 131 beneficiaries were distributed goats and scientific goat sheds at a ceremonial programme held at Titaguri in Kokrajhar district today
Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro attended the program and handed over 5 nos of goats and a scientific goat sheds each to the selected 131 beneficiaries today.
BTR chief executive member Pramod Boro said Bodoland Goat Mission is a flagship scheme aims of BTC to promote animal husbandry and goat rearing in BTR, to empower local farmers and promoting self-sufficiency in meat production. Every selected farmer will get a set of five goats and one shed. He said proper vaccination will also be given to the goats and training to the farmers will be imparted.
He said the distribution will be done in all four districts of BTR.
The program was also attended by BTR executive members- Rakesh Brahma, Reo Reoa Narzihary, Wilson Hasda and among others.
