Puri Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Opens: Chief Minister Inaugurates ₹800 Crore Project

Puri: The much-awaited Puri ‘Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa’ or Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor project in Odisha opened to the public today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the project worth eight hundred crore rupees just before concluding Purna Ahuti of the Maha Yagna. The 75-metre space encircling the 12th-century Jagannath Temple complex has been built to enhance the visual connection between devotees and the shrine. Official sources said the project, worth over four thousand crore rupees, is part of a significant initiative of the state government to transform the pilgrim town into a world heritage city.
