Rahul Gandhi challenges PM Modi to debate on corruption; flays him for not hiking import duty on apples

Congress President Rahul Gandhi challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage in a debate with him on the issue of corruption and flayed him for not hiking import duty on apples. 

Addressing a public meeting on the last day of electioneering today at Police ground in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan, the Congress president said, I am ready to engage in debate with Modi on corruption issues at any place.

He reiterated his allegations of Rafale deal being overpriced. He Criticized  Prime Minister for demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST). He said the small and medium scale industrialists, traders and unemployed youth were adversely affected with demonetisation and GST.

Congress President also flayed Prime Minister for not fulfilling his poll promises of hiking import duty on apples and providing 2 crore jobs every year. 

The Congress president also spoke in detail about how he would implement NYAY scheme as promised in the Congress manifesto if it is voted to power
