New Delhi: Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav held a three-day meeting, Feb 19 to 21) with all General Managers of the Zones to review Capital expenditure (CapEx) requirement for various on-going projects and commissioning of projects during the FY 2022-23. The objective of the meeting was to ensure there were no impediments in implementing the new projects and the progress of the ongoing developmental work across the country from April, first month of the next FY. Previously such high-level review meetings used to begin in April and by the time most of the time any benefit is to accrue monsoon would start and seriously impede progress of the work. To avoid such obstructions this year the meeting was held in February itself.
