Ramraj Cotton, India’s premier ethnic wear brand and a leader in the traditional textile segment, has announced the appointment of Mr. Engal Jayaraj as its Chief Executive Officer – Operations. With over three decades of extensive experience in the textile and garment manufacturing industry, he joins the leadership team to strengthen operational excellence, drive business transformation, and enhance efficiency across large-scale manufacturing and supply chain functions.
Mr. Jayaraj brings over 30 years of proven expertise in managing end-to-end operations, production systems, and cost optimisation within the textile sector. His experience spans leading manufacturing organisations and large export-driven enterprises, making him well-positioned to support Ramraj Cotton’s continued growth and expansion across domestic and international markets.
He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer at BRFL Textiles Private Limited (BTPL), Mumbai. Prior to that, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Ramraj Cotton, Erode, where he contributed to strengthening operational frameworks and improving execution efficiency. Earlier, he spent a significant tenure at Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd, where he held senior leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President – Operations, playing a key role in scaling production capabilities and implementing operational strategies. He began his career as General Manager at MUST Garment Corp Ltd, Bahrain, where he was responsible for production, quality, and product development.
As Chief Executive Officer – Operations, Mr. Jayaraj will oversee production management, project execution, operational excellence, and cost optimisation initiatives, bringing a strong blend of strategic and hands-on leadership to the organisation.
