In Madhya Pradesh, residents of urban areas avoided pressing none of the above, NOTA, option in the state but at the same time, people of tribal-dominated seats were actively used NOTA while exercising their franchise in the 17th Lok Sabha polls.
In Madhya Pradesh NOTA got less than one per cent of the total votes polled in the state that has 29 Lok Sabha seats.
