SIVASAGAR : A team led by Public Accounts Committee Chairman and MLA Wazed Ali Chowdhury of the Assam Legislative Assembly supervised the development work of various departments under Sivasagar district on October 14 with a day-long programme. On this occasion, the Sukafa meeting room of the District Collector’s Office was presided over by Chairman Wajed Ali Chowdhury and the members and MLAs of the Committee karimuddin Borbhuyan, Hafiz Basir Ahmed, Utpal Bora, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Govinda Basumatary, Chakradhar Gogoi, Basanta Das, Kamalaksha De Purkayastha, Bhavendra Nath Bharali and the officials of the Legislative Assembly Committee were present. The progress of developmental work in various departments such as Panchayat and Rural Development, Social Welfare, Public Health and Technical Education was reviewed.
The presidents and members of the committee directed to expedite and timely execution of schemes of various departments in Sivasagar district. In particular, he directed to make the main road of Bihubar on the Assam-Nagaland border accessible for traffic and to complete the projects being implemented under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in the district in a perfect manner. Departmental heads of all departments of the district submitted to the committee the progress of work of their respective departments during the meeting. The review meeting was attended by Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav, Zilla Parishad CHIEF Executive Officer Ashchini Dal, District Development Commissioner Shovon Gowala, Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma and departmental heads of other departments.
