SIVASAGAR : – On the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary of Mahavir Lachit Borphukan, a seminar on ‘Bir Lachit Borphukan in contemporary context’ was held at Bir Lachit Borphukan College in Sivasagar district. The seminar was moderated by Kamaljyoti Gogoi, inspector of schools in Sivasagar district. Earlier in the day, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar District Aditya Vikram Yadav, as the Chief Guest, participated in the meeting organized for this purpose and addressed the gathering. College principal Deepali Neog delivered the welcome address of the meeting. Dr. Dayanand Borgohain in the seminar; Dr. Punyadhar Gogoi; Tufel Jilani; Eminent personalities including Praveen Sharma and Dr Lipi Phukan participated as content persons.
