Smiling Tree Celebrates Earth Day with Plantation Drive at Modern School, Barakhamba Road   

New Delhi:  On the occasion of Earth Day, 22nd April 2025, Smiling Tree, an environmental initiative led by Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, organized a meaningful plantation drive at Modern School, Barakhamba Road. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from the school’s principal, Dr. Vijay Datta, along with faculty members and students who came together to contribute to a greener planet.

The drive aimed to instill environmental consciousness among young minds and reinforce the message of sustainable living. Under the guidance of Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, founder of Smiling Tree, several saplings were planted within the school premises. The event served not only as a celebration of Earth Day but also as a call to action for protecting the environment through collective efforts.

Dr. Kwatra emphasized the importance of nurturing nature and empowering future generations with the values of ecological responsibility. “Each tree we plant today is a promise for a better tomorrow. It is heartening to see the active involvement of students and educators who are the real catalysts of change,” he said.

Principal Dr. Vijay Datta lauded the initiative and encouraged students to take pride in contributing towards environmental sustainability. “This plantation drive is more than an event—it’s a lesson in stewardship and a reminder of our duty toward Mother Earth,” he remarked.

The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to care for the environment and continue supporting green initiatives in their communities.
