Telangana Government has handed over 5 crore rupees to the family of Col Santhosh Babu, who laid down his life in the line of duty for the country. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited the family and handed over the financial assistance as assured earlier.
He handed over cheque of 4 crore rupees in the name of his children and one crore rupees in the name of his mother.
He assured the bereaved family that Telangana government will stand by the family of Col Santhosh Babu.
He also handed over the recruitment letter for Group-I post and papers relating to sanction of housing plot in Banjarahills area of Hyderabad.
Earlier, he paid tributes at Col Santhosh Babu’s portrait.
The Telangana state government has also announced 10 lakh rupees each to the 19 other soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice at the LAC in Leh.
