Team India Skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri addressed a press conference in Mumbai today before leaving for England for the Men’s cricket World Cup starting on 30th of this month.

Virat Kohli said this will be the most challenging World Cup considering the round robin format of the tournament. He, however, said the good thing  was that there was  a decent gap between every game. Players won’t be burnt out.

At the press conference, the Indian skipper said he was not worried about players’ form during IPL 2019 and backed them to step up during the World Cup. The question of who will be India’s No.4 batsman remained unanswered.

Kohli said, we have to just focus on our quality and intensity irrespective of the opposition. Shastri said, Dhoni’s communication with Kohli was great and Dhoni has shown that he is still the best in this format of the game.

Kohli said the team was expected to play the best cricket they can. Shastri said the team’s mantra is to be flexible in the last 10 overs.
