ULFA (Independent) and NSCN set a deadline

Guwahathi: United Liberation Front of Assam, ULFA (Independent) has set february 16 the deadline for the release of Ram Kumar, an employee of Quip Oil Infrastructure Ltd, which was hijacked by ULFA (Independent) and NSCN. Ram Kumar, PS Bahadur of Khagaria District in Bihar and Pranab Kumar Nath of Sibsagar in Assam have been in captivity of organizations by ULFA (independent) and NSCN for the last one month. The Chief Ministers of Assam and Bihar had appealed through a video message to intervene in their release. ULFA-Independent has set a deadline of oil company-Quipo Oil and Gas Infrastructure Limited on February 16 for the release of its employee Ram Kumar, which comes from Bihar.

“There will be no further expansion of time,” ULFA-I said. ULFA-I said in a statement that the oil company has not shown any intention to secure its employees.”If there is no response from the company by February 16, necessary action will be taken against Ram Kumar the next day. ULFA-I said that there will be no further expansion of time. Bihar radio operator Ram Kumar (35) Ghar Bahadurpur, Thana Alauli, District Khagaria and drilling superintendent of Sivasagar district of Assam, Pranav Kumar Gogoi (51) were kidnapped by a group of terrorists from ULFA-I and NSCN on December 21 while they were working at the Kumchika drilling site in Changlang. ULFA-I has sought a ransom of Rs 20 crore for the release of the allegedly abducted couple. Earlier, ULFA-I also released a video of two abducted employees of the oil company, where both their respective state governments and chief ministers can be seen trying to get their early release.


Meanwhile, an official from Quipo said prime Minister Narendra Modi has been urged to carry forward his rescue operation. It may be mentioned that such kidnappings for money were reported on a similar fashion from Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Changlong district of Arunachal Pradesh shares the border with Myanmar, and most of the rebel groups in the northeast have taken refuge in some unknown places along the international border
