New Delhi: A meeting is proposed in Chandigarh this evening between the Central Government and the leaders of the agitating farmer organizations. It is expected that a solution will be found in this meeting. Common people also want a solution to the problem as soon as possible.

Akashvani correspondent reports that all eyes are on the third round of talks between farmer leaders and Union Ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal, and Nityanand Rai in Chandigarh this evening. The ongoing farmer’s agitation at various borders of Punjab-Haryana is already impacting the lives of common people. Vegetable and other essential commodity prices have surged due to their limited availability, particularly those originating outside Punjab. Air fares from Amritsar and Chandigarh to Delhi have seen a tenfold increase compared to their normal rates. With state transport buses to Delhi suspended, taxi fares have skyrocketed. Private bus operators are also charging exorbitant fares, taking advantage of the limited travel options available.
