The occasion was a heartfelt tribute to the often unsung heroes. It was a day to acknowledge their dedication, support, and the positive impact they bring to the world around them.

Some of the iconic men of substance, who significantly and positively impacted the society and inspired generations, including Sri KI Varaprasad Reddy, Founder of Shantha Biotech; Sri R Subhash Reddy, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India; Sri Prasad G V Reddy, Co Chairman and Managing Director of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories; Sri Dr Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad; Sri C V Anand, IPS, Former Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad; Sri Narendra Paruchuri, CEO Pragathi Printers; Sri V. Chief Guest Dr Sangeeta Reddy honoured the iconic men achievers.

Our endeavour is to shine the spotlight on the profound influence men have in nurturing and shaping our societies, highlighting the importance of their roles as fathers, sons, brothers, and friends. We are acknowledging and celebrating their triumphs, says Dr P Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Centers. Last many years we have been celebrating women’s day, children’s day and other days, do good amount of pampering to all of them and of course they fully deserve that. But once in a while it is important to think of the men who care for you. I always said woman is the symbol of love, care, compassion and I do repeat that, but there is something you should also think about, men also deserve love, they sacrifice their own needs for the sake of the family, they control their emotions and don’t display it, they make sure that the family is happy at the end of the day. They may not cry openly, they may cry all alone sitting in a room, but not in front of the family, we should appreciate that. I never said someone is superior and someone is inferior, god has created two souls not just the man or not just the woman. We just need to maintain that equilibrium, both of them have strengths in different areas, they do sacrifice certain things for the family, for the society, for the country and for the universe. So it’s very important to have both working together, understanding each other. My baby, Cure Foundation was born in 2003, it’s been a gratifying journey during these twenty years. With the support of Apollo Hospitals management we are able to take care of poor patients under Cure Foundation, completely free of cost, especially the child cancer patients. I have several who supported me in this endeavour and the entire Golfer community overwhelmingly supported this cause.

Celebs, models and ace golfers, joined child cancer survivors on the ramp for the noble cause of spreading the word about juvenile cancers being curable and that the child can lead a normal life like any other. Showstoppers and Tollywood divas Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Madhu Shalini set the ramp on fire, with designer Neeta Lulla adding to the flavour. Stand-up comedian Rohit Swain, left the audience in raptures. The winners at the Cancer Crusaders Golf Tournament were presented with the awards on the occasion.
