Uttar Pradesh has taken several measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the state. More than one lakh tests are being carried out every day. Over 1 lakh 51 thousand beds have been created at Covid hospitals across the state.
After getting 4,814 people tested positive for COVID-19 during last 24 hours in state the state Corona cases tally crossed 1.5 lakh-mark.The total cases currently stand at 1,50,061 while the death toll too reached 2,393 with 58 fresh casualties in state.
Health department sources said that the total active cases in the state stood at 51,437 while 96,231 people have recovered including 3,742 , who were released from hospitals yesterday.The Lucknow still continued as the prime hotspot of the state with 671 fresh cases and recorded 14 deaths yesterday. Now there are a total of 7,462 active cases in the state capital and the total death toll too reached 200 mark.
After Lucknow, the city of Kanpur too witnessed 250 fresh cases and its total active cases reached 4,126 and death toll rose to 295. The other cities where there were spikes in Corona cases in a day are 310 in Gorakhpur, 203 in Prayagraj,177 in Bareilly and 141 in Varanasi.
