Kokrajhar: The People’s Aid in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority(DLSA), Kokrajhar and State Bank of India, Kokrajhar, on Wednesday (6 January) distributed warm clothes among the jail inmates at Kokrajhar District jail.
Warm shawls and blankets were distributed among 332 jail inmates including men, women and children in the program.
The SBI, Kokrajhar Branch donated a refrigerator to preserve the prisoners’ medicines in jail.
C. Chaturvedi, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Kokrajhar graced the program as a chief guest and gave his valuable speech in front of the prisoners.
Bidyut Medhi, Secretary DLSA, Kokrajhar, Nava Kumar Basumatary, President of The People’s Aid, T. Kalita, Superintendent of Kokrajhar District jail and executive members of TPA were also present in the program.
