In West Bengal, about 27 lakh devotees from across the country and abroad are taking holy dip in the Ganga Sagar at Sagar island on the occasion of Makar Sankrati today. The pilgrims will also offer prayers in the Kapil Muni Temple after taking the holy dip. A thick blanket of security cover has been thrown in and around the famous spot.
