Assam police arrest 3 miscreants for their alleged involvement in assault of Tinsukia district BJP President

The Assam police arrested 3 miscreants for their alleged involvement in the assault of Tinsukia district BJP President Lakheswar Moran. Police said the incident occurred when Mr. Moran arrived to attend a pro- Citizenship Amendment bill meeting  at Tinsukia yesterday. 3 FIRs have been filled after the incident.  

Police are trying to trace more miscreants involved in the incident. Mr. Moran is undergoing treatment now. The BJP has condemned the incident. State BJP President Ranjit Kumar Dass is scheduled to visit Tinsukia today to take stock of the situation.  Tinsukia district administration has appealed to the people to remain calm.
