GUWAHATI : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday accused the Congress and the AIUDF of opening borders for infiltrators to power in Assam. The home minister said the BJP will not allow the state to become the hub of illegal immigrants again after they have freed the encroached land during the last five years. Taking a swipe at All India United Democratic Front chief Badruddin Ajmal, claiming that the “lock and key” (AIUDF symbol) of forming the next government in the state is in his hands, Shah said the public will decide who will run Assam.
Criticising the Congress-AIUDF alliance as “enemies” of the country. The home minister said that if he (the alliance) comes to power, he will endanger the lives of Indians living in the state and strengthen the illegal infiltrators.
