The Covid surge continues in Karnataka with 5030 people testing positive for the virus infection today. The Covid death toll has reached 97 in the state.
The recovery rate has marginally improved to 36.25 percent, with 2071 people returning home after recovery. The mortality rate has also come down from 2 percent to 1.81 percent. With 27,773 Covid tests, the total number of tests in the state has reached 11,40, 647.
Bengaluru remains peaked with 2207 new cases and 47 deaths today. The Government has taken a decision to appoint new doctors and para medical staff for the hospitals in Bengaluru.
Thirty doctors and 21 other para medical staff were appointed today. Earlier the health department had appointed 58 doctors and para-medical staff. Among those selected, 72 doctors and five staff nurses have been appointed to different hospitals.
