GUWAHATI :In Assam, four militants have been arrested in Karbi Anglong and a large quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered. A senior Assam Police official said, The Bokajan police of Assam conducted a joint operation with assam rifles and recovered a cache of weapons. Four persons have been arrested in the case. According to reports, acting on strong intelligence inputs, a joint team of Bokajan police and Assam Riflearrested four persons with weapons from Gharialdubi area.
The arrested persons have been identified as Raju Ghatwar, Krishna Orang, Lucas Kangri and Robert Haro. One of them. 22 mm gun, one 9 mm pistol, two . 22 mm pistols, a Chinese grenade and 5 rounds of bullets have been recovered. They are said to be residents of Diphu and Khatkhati areas of Karbi Anglong district. According to police sources, there is no trace of their links with any militant outfit. The matter is under investigation.
