In Assam no Corona tests at railway stations and Airports

Guwahati: The BJP government in the state has taken a major decision in view of the next Assam assembly elections. Those people of Assam who live outside and work outside, when they come to vote at the time of Assembly elections in Assam, they should not suffer because of the corona epidemic test or they are not suffering. Therefore, the Government of Assam has decided that corona epidemic tests have been stopped at all stations and airports in railways since the month of March. The health official said it may stop the normal testing of corona epidemic across Assam.  A senior Assam Health Department official said, the government had to take the decision by political claim. But to reduce the fear of the people, the Assam government is being told on the issue that the Government of Assam has taken a major step after the reduction and two indigenous vaccines coming in the corona. It has been decided to abolish the required Covid-19 test at railway stations, road airports from 1st March. The decision will provide great relief to the people coming to the state. The people who come here will not be required to take the negative report of the corona test from March 1 nor will they be tested in the state. Assam Health Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma said that the cases of Kovid-19 have declined. Now, vaccination is also happening.

The health minister said that till Tuesday, more than one lakh people have been vaccinated in the state. Vaccination has been successful. There have been no cases of side effects anywhere.  A total of 1, 08512 people were vaccinated in the state till 6 pm Tuesday evening. Tuesday was the nineteenth day of the vaccination programme in the state, which was successful. During the 2,328 session, a total of 1, 08512 beneficiaries were vaccinated, 64 people noticed minor side effects which were cured, no serious side effects were found. About 8,998 beneficiaries were vaccinated from 240 sessions on Tuesday.

Health officials said 50 per cent of the 2.19 lakh healthcare workers in the state have been vaccinated. By February 25, each of the entire 2.19 lakh registered health workers will get at least the first dose, a mop-up round will be organised for those who are reluctant to get vaccination, said Munendra Nath Natte, director, Health Family Welfare Assam. In view of all these things, the health minister decided to stop the corona test.
