Kerala confirms 1,564 new cases of Covid-19 , the highest single-day tally so far. At the same time, 766 patients have recovered from the disease.
Of the cases detected today, 1,380 were locally transmitted cases and the contact source of 98 was not traceable.
Three deaths were also reported in the State today taking the death toll due to Covid to 129. Thiruvananthapuram reported the highest number of cases, 434.
15 healthcare workers were also infected today. A total of 13,839 patients are under treatment for Covid in the State. There are currently 1,53,061 people under observation in various districts of the state.
