More than 2,000 BJP workers flee to Assam as violence affects Bengal; Governor Dhankhar warns President’s rule

GUWAHATI : The political turmoil in the country has increased considerably over the past few years. In West Bengal, violence has been going on since the results of the assembly elections. More than 15 people have been killed in the last three days. Meanwhile, there are reports of migration fearing violence. More than 2,000 BJP workers are reportedly migrating from Bengal to Assam with their families due to violence in Bengal.

Assam government minister and BJP’s Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday claimed that around 2000-2200 BJP workers along with their families are coming towards Assam due to violence in Bengal. He said the Assam government has made shelter homes and food arrangements for people migrating from Bengal. He alleged that it was a disgusting dance of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s democracy and she should stop it. Bjp Bengal President Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday claimed that TMC goons have been torturing BJP workers since the results of assembly elections in West Bengal came out. He claimed that several BJP workers were killed and several others injured in the violence that followed the results. Mamata Banerjee has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third time today. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath to him.

 Mamata has once again become the Chief Minister of Bengal. Meanwhile, bjp, the largest opposition party in Bengal, is staging a dharna. The BJP has accused TMC workers of killing its workers and demolishing houses. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee said law and order was under the control of the Election Commission for the last three months. I have just taken oath and will ensure that peace prevails in the State. On the other hand, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “I congratulate Mamataji on her third term. Our priority is that we must put an end to violence, which has affected society at large. I sincerely hope that the CM will take all steps to restore the rule of law on an immediate basis. On the other hand, bjp national president JP Nadda at the BJP office in Kolkata said, As the results have come, there has been an of political violence. We will fight this battle to a turning point. The pictures I saw at the time of partition seemed to be getting fresh. Those who should protect are the people responsible for this of violence.
