More than 65 lakh persons have been treated under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana since the launch of the scheme.
Replying to supplementaries in the Rajya Sabha today, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that 9,549 crore rupees were spent on the treatment of the patients till 5th November.
He informed that four states, Delhi, Telangana, Odisha and West Bengal have not adopted this scheme. The Minister said, over 20 thousand hospitals are empanelled under the scheme. This scheme provides health cover of five lakh rupee per family per year.
