Over 15 crore rupees have been received from the auctions of mementos, gifts presented to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was stated by Cultural and Tourism Minister, Prahlad Singh Patel in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
He said, three auctions were organized in the last five years to sell such gifts. Earlier, Prime Minister has announced that money collected from the auctions will be contributed for the conservation and rejuvenation of the Ganga.
