Kokrajhar : On the occasion of NIKSHAY DIVAS, a sensitization meeting was held in six Wellness Centres of Kokrajhar district on Thursday
As part of the programme, awareness was given about National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), symptoms and preventions follow ups, Nikshay Poshan Yojana incentives etc.
The programme was attended by District TB Officer, Kokrajhar Dr. Kaushik Das, village headman, ASHA Workers and community leaders around the Health Wellness Centre and community leaders.
Dr Kaushik Das said the Government of India declared NIKSHAY DIVAS this year on the 22nd day of every month. NI-End. KSHAY-TB is part of the End TB strategy by 2025. This will be observed in each Healthy Wellness Centres of the District. Kokrajhar district started the programme in six (6) Wellness Centres of the district: Saralpara, Duramari, Balagaon, Balapara, Bhotgaon and Jolesswari Health Wellness Centre.
