New Delhi : A corona blast broke out in Haridwar, Uttarakhand amidst the Mahakumbh of faith. Mahamandaleshwar Kapil Dev Das of Shri Panch Nirvani Akhara, who joined the Kumbh, passed away due to covid infection and many saints and saints have also been affected by the epidemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now broken his silence on the uncontrollable corona infection in kumbh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning appealed to the sant samaj to keep kumbh symbolic so that the epidemic can be fought strongly. PM Modi stressed that this will boost India’s fight against the corona epidemic. He has raised an appeal among corona over Kumbh. PM Modi called Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Pujya Swami Avadhesanandgiri and appealed to all saints to first go ahead and then keep kumbh symbolic. Swami Avadhesananda has also responded to this.

The Prime Minister’s appeal comes after nearly 2,000 devotees as well as several saints were found corona positive at the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar in about a week. He said, “I have prayed that two royal baths have taken place and now the Kumbh should be kept symbolic due to the crisis of corona. This will give a strength to the fight against this crisis. In another tweet, the Prime Minister said that talking to Swami Avadhesananda, he visited the health of all the saints. “All saints are extending all kinds of cooperation to the administration. I thanked the saint world for this. After interacting with the Prime Minister, Swami Avadhesananda also urged the people not to reach Haridwar in large numbers to bathe in kumbh and follow all rules.

Protecting life is a great virtue. My religious people are urged not to come for a large number of baths in view of the circumstances of Covid and follow the rules! Tell us that many saints have come corona positive so far in the ongoing Kumbh in Haridwar. The worry is that a large number of people will arrive at the Kumbh and are afraid of being hit by the corona. At present, Niranjani and Anand Akhara have already announced the end of mahakumbh. Niranjani Akhara and its associate Akhara Anand announced the kumbh end on their behalf on Friday after the baisakhi bath. But Juna Akhara, the largest of the 13 akharas, says he will continue till the kumbh is over. He will leave Haridwar on May 26 after the kumbh is over. It is learnt that three royal baths of mahakumbh, which have been restricted for a period of one month due to coronavirus—Mahashivratri, Somavati Amavasya and Baisakhi— have been taken, while the last royal bath is to be held on the occasion of Ram Navami. A large number of saints and devotees who reached Haridwar for Kumbh have been infected with corona virus.
