Hyderabad: Udaipur-based Narayan Seva Sansthan, renowned for its service to differently-abled individuals and humanitarian causes, will be organizing a free Narayan Limb and Calipers Fitment Camp for the differently-abled people of Telangana on Sunday, 17th August. The camp will be held at Minerva Gardens, Champapet, Hyderabad, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the inauguration scheduled for 11:00 am. This camp will benefit only pre-selected differently-abled individuals free of charge.

The Sansthan’s Director of Media and Public Relations, Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, stated that the Sansthan has been working for the past 40 years to reach out to differently-abled brothers and sisters across various states, providing services near their hometowns. As part of this ongoing mission, Narayan Seva Sansthan had earlier organized a free Narayan Limb Measurement Camp in Hyderabad on April 6. More than 1,100 patients attended, out of whom 780 individuals, who had lost their hands or legs due to road accidents or other mishaps, were selected, and their casting and measurements for Narayan Limbs were taken.

He added that in Hyderabad, the Sansthan will use German technology to fit artificial limbs to hundreds of differently-abled individuals at once, giving them a new lease on life. Many of these individuals, burdened by disability, had become dependent on their families. The Sansthan is working to make them self-reliant and bring them into the mainstream of society. Empowering differently-abled people is essential for building a prosperous society, as their empowerment accelerates the pace of national progress.

During the press briefing, Media and PR Director Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, local patron Alka Choudhary, prominent social worker Jasmat Bhai Patel, Ridesh Jagirdar, and Ashram in-charge Mahendra Singh Rawat also released the poster of the camp.

Patron Alka Choudhary informed that Narayan Seva Sansthan has not only conducted camps in India but also in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Meru, Tanzania, and Nepal. Every month, around 1,500 people are fitted with artificial hands and legs. Social worker Jasmat Bhai stated that several dignitaries and Sansthan members have been invited to the camp’s inauguration to make it a grand event. Free meals will be provided for the differently-abled attending the camp. After receiving the Narayan Limb fittings, they will also be given proper walking training. A 40-member team from the Sansthan will be actively engaged in serving during the camp. Previously benefited differently-abled individuals will also attend, sharing their experiences to motivate the new beneficiaries.

Since 1985, Narayan Seva Sansthan has been working with the spirit of “Nara Seva – Narayan Seva” (Service to humanity is service to God). Its founder, Shri Kailash Manav Ji, has been honored with the Padma Shri by the President of India for his humanitarian work. On May 30, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman honored him in Delhi under the category of Community Service and Social Upliftment. The Sansthan’s President, Prashant Agarwal, through medical aid, education, skill development, and sports academies, has strengthened lakhs of differently-abled individuals mentally, physically, and economically, integrating them into the mainstream of society. In 2023, he was also honored with the President’s Award. The Sansthan has so far fitted more than 40,000 artificial limbs and is now working on a large scale to provide free artificial limbs to the differently-abled in Telangana, helping them restart their paused lives.
