Railway Board has approved the operation of special train services and the augmentation of additional coaches on highly patronised trains to ensure timely and comfortable travel options for passengers. These measures have been introduced to meet the increased travel demand and to provide enhanced connectivity from major cities to destinations across the Thiruvananthapuram division.
SPECIAL TRAINS
1. Train No. 04080 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Special
Train No. 04080 Hazrat Nizanuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Special departed from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 13.35 hrs. today (Saturday, 06th December 2025) and will reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 14.50 hrs. on Monday.
Stoppage: Palwal, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Udhna, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mangaluru Junction, Kanhangad, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Thrissur (08.10 hrs./08.12 hrs.), Aluva (09.13 hrs./09.15 hrs.), Ernakulam Town (09.40 hrs./09.50 hrs.), Kottayam (11.08 hrs./11.10 hrs.), Changanassery (11.50 hrs./11.52 hrs.), Kayamkulam (12.13 hrs./12.15 hrs.), Kollam (13.03 hrs./13.05 hrs.), Varkala (13.28 hrs./13.30).
2. Train No. 06147/06148 Ernakulam Junction – Yelahanka(Bengaluru) – Ernakulam Special
Train No. 06147 Ernakulam Junction – Yelahanka Special will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 16.20 hrs. on Sunday, 07 December 2025 and reach Yelahanka at 08.30 hrs. on Monday.
Stoppage: Aluva (16.40 hrs./16.42 hrs.), Thrissur (17.37 hrs./17.40 hrs.), Shoranur, Palakkad Junction, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, , Bangarapet, Whitefield and Krishnarajapuram.
In the return direction Train No. 06148 Yelahanka – Ernakulam Junction will depart Yelahanka at 10.00 hrs. on Monday, 08th December 2025 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 22.15 hrs. the same day,
Stoppage: Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarapet, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad Junction, Shoranur, Thrissur (19.42 hrs./19.45 hrs.) and Aluva (20.38 hrs./20.40 hrs.).
3. Train No. 06012/06011 Nagercoil – Tambaram – Nagercoil Superfast Specials:
Train No. 06012 Nagercoil Junction – Tambaram Superfast Special will leave Nagercoil at 23.15 hrs on Sunday, 07th December, 2025 and reach Tambaram at 11.15 hrs, the next day.
Stoppage: Tirunelveli Jn, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Vridhachalam, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
In return direction, Train No. 06011 Tambaram – Nagercoil Junction Superfast Special will leave Tambaram at 15.30 hrs on Monday, 08th December, 2025 and reach Tambaram at 04.15 hrs, the next day.
Stoppage: Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madura, Virudungara, Satur, Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli Jn.
4. Train No. 06108/06107 Thiruvananthapuram North – Chennai Egmore – Thiruvananthapuram North Express Specials:
Train No. 06108 Thiruvananthapuram North – Chennai Egmore Express Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 15.45 hrs on Sunday, 07th December, 2025 and reach Chennai Egmore at 11.20 hrs, the next day.
Stoppage: Kollam Jn. (16:42 hrs./16:45 hrs.), Chengannur (17:43 hrs./17:45 hrs.), Thiruvalla (17:54 hrs./17:55 hrs.), Kottayam (18:32 hrs./18:35 hrs.), Ernakulam Town (20:15 hrs./20:20), Aluva (20:50 hrs./20:52), Thrissur (22:20 hrs./22:22 hrs.), Palakkad Jn., Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, and Perambur.
In return direction, Train No. 06107 Chennai Egmore – Thiruvananthapuram North Express Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 13.50 hrs on Monday, 08th December, 2025 and reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 08.00 hrs, the next day.
Stoppage: Perambur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur (00:55 hrs./00:58 hrs.), Aluva (01:50 hrs./01:52 hrs.), Ernakulam Town (02:13 hrs./02:18 hrs.), Kottayam (03:27 hrs./03:30 hrs.), Thiruvalla (03:59 hrs./04:00 hrs.), Chengannur (04:10 hrs./04:12 hrs.) and Kollam (05:30 hrs./05:32 hrs.).

TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION
To clear extra rush of passengers, the following train services will be provided with additional coaches as detailed below:
1. Train No. 12695 MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express journey commencing from 06th to 11th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
2. Train No. 12696 Thiruvananthapuram Central – MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express journey commencing from 07th to 12th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
3. Train No. 20635 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Junction Anantapuri Express journey commencing on 08th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
4. Train No. 20636 Kollam – Chennai Egmore Anantapuri Express journey commencing on 09th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
5. Train No. 22639 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Alappuzha Superfast Express journey commencing on 06th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
6. Train No. 22640 Alappuzha – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express journey commencing on 07th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Sleeper Class Coach.
7. Train No. 12076 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Kozhikode Janshatabdi Express journey commencing from 07th to 11th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Chair Car Coach.
8. Train No. 12075 Kozhikode – Thiruvananthapuram Central Janshatabdi Express journey commencing from 07th to 11th December, 2025 will be temporarily provided with One additional Chair Car Coach.
