In light of recent news reports in some vernacular dailies regarding the closure of RRB at Thiruvananthapuram, Railway Board has clarified that no such decision has been taken by the Ministry of Railways.
Railway Recruitment Board, Thiruvananthapuram presently caters to the jurisdiction served by Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad and Madurai divisions of Southern Railway. The Board invites applications, conducts examinations and interviews and publishes the rankings of the appointment of non-gazetted Group ‘C’ posts.
Railway Recruitment Board in Thiruvananthapuram will continue its functioning and there is no impending decision on the closure of the Board.
