Kokrajhar: A human trafficker was arrested from No 2 Jjaharbil area under Gossaigaon police station in Kokrajhar district on Thursday.
According to sources, the human trafficker identified as Philip Poudya from Kalimpong in West Bengal tried to trafficked three minor girls. The local people along with Childline Kokrajhar caught him and managed to rescue the three minor girls. He was later handed over to Gossaigaon police station. A case has been registered in this regard.
The trafficker along with one Krishna Mardi, who was also trafficked three years back, had come to the area to take the minor girls along with them. Philip motive was to take the young girls to his Nursery farm at Kalimpong for child labour purpose.
