Uttar Pradesh government is taking all steps to contain Covid 19 infection in state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the testing facility be continuously increased at every level. He stressed the need to increase the number of rapid antigen tests to one lakh tests per day. Chief Minister has instructed to increase the number of medical tests through RTCPR and Rapid Antigen Tests and to take the total number of tests to one lakh tests daily. He directed the Chief Secretary Rajendra Tiwari and Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad to review the situation of health services in Kanpur, Jhansi, Prayagraj and Mirzapur divisions.
Meanwhile 55 hour long weekly restrictions which started Friday evening are continued with strict compliance and will come over Monday morning. During the Saturday and Sunday weekly closure sanitization and cleanliness drive is being carried out in market places.
After getting 2,984 news patients during last 24 hours the total number of Corona cases in state has reached to 63,742. According to Health department there are 22,452 Active cases in state and as of now 39,903 Corona patients have got cured and discharged and 1,387 succumbed to Covid 19 disease.
