The Uttar Pradesh government is ahead of other states in controlling the spread of Coronavirus infection. Despite the COVID-19 cases tally crossing 1.18 lakh mark, Test Positivity and Mortality Rates remain quite low in comparison to other states.
Medical Education Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that Uttar Pradesh has done an excellent job in containing Corona. He said the mortality rate in UP is just 1.75 per cent when it is higher in most of the states and it was lower than the national average 2.04 per cent.
Health Education Minister Suresh Khanna said the number of testing has gone over to one lakh per day from 100 tests done in March while there are over 1.51 lakh beds in the Covid hospitals.
Now the home isolation facility has given more benefit to the asymptomatic patients and the setting up of the Corona command and control centre in all the districts has started making the management of the Covid-19 patients more efficient.
Health department report said- The state has tested 29 lakh 96 thousand 406 people, of which 1,18,038 have been found positive for the virus. The current Test Positivity Rate in the state remains at 3.9 percent which is quite lower than other states.
Meanwhile, there are 46,177 active Corona patients in the state and as of now 69,833 have been cured and discharged. So far the most 12,074 cases have been detected in Lucknow followed by 7,989 in Kanpur and 5,868 in Gautam Buddh nagar.
